Kevin McKidd stars as Dan Vasser, a San Francisco reporter who miraculously begins to travel through time in NBC's new one-hour drama "Journeyman." Originally brought up in Elgin, Scotland, Kevin McKidd began acting as a member of the Moray Youth Theatre. Kevin McKidd then went on to study Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. While at the university, Kevin McKidd became involved with the college's Bedlam Theatre. Later, Kevin McKidd decided to give up on engineering and dropped out of the university to pursue his acting career full-time. In 1994 Kevin McKidd landed the leading role in the stage play "The Silver Darlings," produced by the Wild Cat Theatre Company. It was only a matter of time before Kevin McKidd made his screen debut as the vicious gangleader Malky Johnson in Gillies Mackinnon's "Small Faces." Kevin McKidd's next role was as Tommy, the tragic, gentle giant in "Trainspotting." Most recently Kevin McKidd starred as Lucius Vorenus on HBO's "Rome." Kevin McKidd's recent feature films include "Hannibal Rising," "Kingdom of Heaven," "De-Lovely" and "Nicholas Nickleby." Kevin McKidd was nominated for Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards, "One Last Chance." Kevin McKidd is also starring in the upcoming comedy "Made of Honor" for Sony Pictures.
Kevin McKidd's television credits include "Gunpowder, Treason and Plot," "North Square," "The Key," "Anna Karenina," "Richard II" and "Looking After Jo Jo." Kevin McKidd's theater credits include "Richard III," "Britannicus," for which he won an Ian Charleston Award, " 'Tis Pity She's a Whore" and "Far Away." Kevin McKidd is currently filming "Elizabeth, The Virgin Queen," a four-part historical drama for the BBC.
