Lisa Edelstein stars as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on Fox's "House."
Lisa Edelstein began her professional acting career while studying theater at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. After performing in a wide range of productions off and off-off Broadway, Lisa Edelstein authored, composed and performed the musical and AIDS-related theater production "Positive Me" in Manhattan. In feature films Lisa Edelstein is probably best remembered as Ben Stiller's aerobics-obsessed date in "Keeping the Faith," directed by Edward Norton. Additional feature film credits for Lisa Edelstein include Mel Gibson's "What Women Want," "Daddy Day Care," "As Good As It Gets," "Mrs. Harris," "Fathers and Sons," "Susan's Plan" and "I'm Losing You." Lisa Edelstein is also in the upcoming films "Donut Holes" opposite Peter Paige and Kathy Najimy and "Grilled" with Ray Romano and Kevin James.
Lisa Edelstein gained her first television experience as a host of the cable series "Awake on the Wild Side." In the last several years Lisa Edelstein has fearlessly taken on a wide variety of roles for television. Lisa Edelstein played a call-girl girlfriend on "The West Wing," David Conrad's lesbian sister on "Relativity," the transsexual boyfriend of James Legros on "Ally McBeal" and an Orthodox Jewish woman losing custody of her child on "Family Law." Most recently Lisa Edelstein played James Spader's love interest on "The Practice." Additional television credits for Lisa Edelstein include a series regular role on "Leap of Faith" and roles on "Felicity," "Seinfeld" and "Sports Night." Lisa Edelstein guest-starred on such shows as "Without A Trace," "Frasier," "Presidio Med," "ER" and "Mad About You." Lisa Edelstein performs the voice of "Mercy Grave" in the animated series "Superman."
Lisa Edelstein has appeared in several telefilms including "A Date with Darkness: The Trail and Capture of Andrew Luster," "Obsessed" and Dean Koontz's "Black River."
