Born November 23, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee, Miley Cyrus developed a love for the stage after watching her dad, country singer and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, perform. After appearing as an extra in his television projects, Miley Cyrus got her first chance to act opposite him in a recurring role on the television series "Doc." Since then, Miley Cyrus guest-starred on "Love Boat: The Next Wave" and appeared in the Tim Burton film "Big Fish."
Miley Cyrus will record her first solo album to be released by Hollywood Records in 2007. Miley Cyrus is also featured on the "Hannah Montana" soundtrack performing the series theme song "Best of Both Worlds" and "I Learned from You," a duet with her real-life and on-screen father.
In fall 2006, Miley Cyrus embarked on a nationwide sold-out concert tour with The Cheetah Girls, opening the concert as a special guest to rave reviews.
Miley Cyrus lives in Los Angeles with her parents, sisters Brandi and Noah, brothers Trace and Braison and their dog Loco but returns home to Nashville often where her seven horses, three dogs and two cats remain. In her spare time in Los Angeles, Miley Cyrus enjoys talking on the phone with friends back home. Miley Cyrus also follows in her father's footsteps by writing music, playing guitar and singing. Miley Cyrus' musical influences are pop singers Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff and Ashlee Simpson. In addition, Miley Cyrus enjoys dancing and cheerleading - ESPN continues to rebroadcast competitions which feature her Tennessee Premiere Cheerleading squad.
