Tom Vize is Kathy's tour manager and travels with her on the road, acting as her bodyguard, carrying her dry cleaning, and sleeping on the couch in her suite. Tom Vize previously was a waiter at TGI Friday's, where Kathy met him, and he went from houseboy/dog-walker to tour manager overnight.
This season on Bravo's "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," Team Griffin visits Tom's hometown of St. Louis, where the mayor declares an official "Tom Vize Day." The team meets his tough-talking brother, Bill, who is a police officer. Brother Bill teaches Kathy, Jessica and Tiffany self-defense—but unbeknownst to Tom he becomes the stand-in for the bad guy. While in town, Tom Vize also appears on "Show Me St. Louis."
Tom Vize's quiet demeanor counterbalances Griffin's zaniness perfectly. Tom Vize is the steady rock in Kathy's life and is always there for her.
