Peter Cambor stars in CBS's "NCIS: Los Angeles" as Nate "Doc" Getz. Peter Cambor made his television debut in ABC's "Notes from the Underbelly." Peter Cambor earned the role after the show's creator and executive producer saw him in the Los Angeles production of "The Cherry Orchard" with Annette Bening and Alfred Molina. Peter Cambor's other TV credits include "Numb3rs," "Pushing Daisies" and "Trust Me." Peter Cambor acted in high school and college productions at Wesleyan University, where he received a bachelor's degree in English. Post-graduation, Peter Cambor moved to New York to pursue acting while also bartending and waiting tables. It was then that Peter Cambor decided to continue his studies and received an M.F.A. in acting from the American Repertory Theatre's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia. Currently, Peter Cambor lives in Venice, California, with his Labradoodle, Murphy. Peter Cambor is an avid guitarist, a gourmet chef and country music fan. Peter Cambor loves surfing and is a baseball nut; his favorite team is the Houston Astros. Peter Cambor 's mother and sister (Kathleen and Kate) are both published authors working on books due out later this year. Peter Cambor's father is a psychiatrist and has been instrumental in the development of "Nate Getz," the character Cambor plays on the series. Peter Cambor was born in Houston.
