"Pit Boss" Season 6 on Animal Planet is back with new episodes that delve deeper into the lives of Shorty, his crew and the pit bulls they save.

Season 6

Past seasons of "Pit Boss" have followed Shorty and his employees and fellow little people Ronald, Sebastian and Ashley as they join forces to save the pit bull breed one dog at a time. Knowing full well what it's like to be judged, the foursome has taken on the gargantuan task with passion. This season begins with Shorty taking his mission and his trusty sidekick Hercules on the road to meet and greet fans across the country, educating them about pit bulls. As the season continues, the drama only grows when Ashley considers opportunities outside Shortywood and Shorty adds a new assistant to the fold — Christian, a shy little person who has to learn to meld with the rest of the team.

When Shorty leaves Ashley in charge at Shortywood Productions, Ronald and Sebastian are not fully cooperating and think the responsibility has completely gone to her head. Shorty returns to disarray, but what will he do about all the internal angst? Then, when Shorty thinks of partnering with a local kennel to help save more pit bulls in need the staff rebels again, realizing it is going to require a ton of additional work. Will this be the final straw that drives the "Pit Boss" team apart forever?

Season 5

New episodes show Shorty pushing his staff hard to keep afloat both Shortywood Inc., a talent management group for little people, and Shorty's Rescue, his pit bull rescue effort. Though this ex-con is undoubtedly rough around the edges, Shorty's an ambassador for the pit bull breed. He better hope for "Diplomatic Immunity" as the season brings viewers episodes of daring rescues, laughter, tears and the real-life drama within the workings of Shorty's team of little people.

Former actor, entertainment guru and pit bull rescuer Shorty Rossi has lofty ideals, a tough attitude and an entertainment industry Rolodex to help his cause. And he's gathered together three friends/employees; Ronald, Ashley and Sebastian, to take on the gargantuan task of rescuing, rehabbing and training the most misunderstood of dogs: pit bulls.

Shorty, a workaholic with a devilish sense of humor and quick temper, balances two jobs: running Shortywood Productions, a Hollywood talent management company for little people, as well as Shorty's Rescue, his pit bull rescue group.

Shorty, aptly named, and his three cohorts happen to be little people with the biggest hearts for these adorable dogs, who often are bigger than they are.

From the producers of "Millionaire Matchmaker" and "Blowout," the "Pit Boss" TV show follows the everyday drama and joy of these buddies and business partners as they hit the streets of Los Angeles in their fight to overcome stereotypes — for themselves and the pit bulls they save.

"Pit Boss" is produced for Animal Planet by Intuitive Entertainment. Mechelle Collins and Kevin Dill are executive producers for Intuitive Entertainment. Executive producer for Animal Planet is Erin Wanner.
