"Platinum Hit" (Bravo), formerly known as "Hitmakers," is a reality competition series that showcases emerging singer-songwriters on their quest to become the next big hitmaker. The series will give viewers a front row seat to experience the journey and aspirations of these gifted songwriters and an inside look at this unique creative process for the first time.
The series will follow 12 musicians as they battle through innovative songwriting challenges that will test their creativity, patience
The "Platinum Hit" contestants include songwriters Amber Ojeda, Blessing Offor, Brian Judah, Jackie Tohn, Jes Hudak, Jewel, Johnny Marnell, Kara DioGuardi, Karen Waldrup, Melissa Rapp, Nevin James, Nick Nittoli, Platinum Hit, Scotty Granger and Sonyae Elise.
The network is partnering with The Writing Camp, America's top songwriting team behind such hits as Beyonce's "Halo" and Rihanna's "SOS," to discover the nation's top talent in every genre of music.
In the end, only one is crowned the ultimate hitmaker walking away with a $100,000 cash prize, publishing deal with Sony and with BMI Songwriters, The Writing Camp, and a recording deal with RCA/Jive.
