Up-and-coming Australian actress Rachael Taylor plays Maggie in Michael Bay's "Transformers" (2007).  Rachael Taylor also has a role in "The Tourist" (2007) opposite Ewan McGregor, Hugh Jackman, and Michelle Williams.  Off the strength of those two films, Rachael Taylor nabbed the lead role in a remake of a 2004 Thai horror film, "Shutters" (2008).

Originally from Launceston, Tasmania, Rachael Taylor attended Launceston College before heading to the University of Sydney where she studied politics and history and pursued her acting.  Rachael Taylor appeared in a couple of bit roles before landing more substantial parts in the horror flicks, "Man-Thing" and "See No Evil."  Rachael Taylor then nabbed a role in the short-lived Australian TV series, "Headland," for which she was nominated for a Logie award for Most Popular New Female Talent.
