Whose house? Run's house! As the patriarch of MTV's first family, Rev Run doles out words of wisdom to his wife and children in his uniquely hilarious way.
Season 5 of "Run's House" finds Rev Run experiencing a career resurgence as he tours the country with Kid Rock. But when he returns home from the road, Rev Run struggles to maintain order as he re-acclimates to domestic life and takes care of newborn daughter Miley. And, as always, Rev Run lands right smack in the middle of everything, serving as a sounding board for his wife, Justine, and dishing out advice and unusual punishments to his kids.
Recognized as a hip-hop pioneer, Rev Run is best known for being one-third of the legendary rap group Run-D.M.C. The group formed in 1983 in Hollis, Queens, and has sold more than 30 million albums and scored several hits. Members Run, D.M.C. and Jam Master Jay left an indelible mark on the hip-hop genre with albums like Raising Hell, Tougher Than Leather and King of Rock. But when Jay was murdered in 2002, Rev Run and D.M.C. retired the group.
In 2005, Rev Run rose from the ashes and welcomed us into his home, where we've truly gotten to know him and his family. There have been plenty of laughs—and even a few tears—as we've watched Run and his clan navigate through the comedic perils of sibling rivalry, birthday parties, video games, tattoos and everything in between.
