Rhys Darby on "Flight of the Conchords"

Rhys Darby stars as Murray in HBO's comedy "Flight of the Conchords."

Rhys Darby is a comedian and actor from New Zealand. Rhys Darby has been living in London for the past four years and traveling all over the United Kingdom and beyond performing in comedy clubs and in festivals.

Rhys Darby's stand-up act is quite unique. Rhys Darby combines storytelling with physical theatre as he morphs in and out to create not only characters but objects, whilst all the while providing the sound effects to go with it. It is of some note that before entering the arts, Rhys Darby was a soldier in the New Zealand army (yes, they have an army) and he is also a keen dancer. Rhys Darby once performed in his sister's dance troupe which toured schools of Australia with the dance version of "Lord of the Rings."

In his spare time, Rhys Darby can be found at a park, enjoying nature with his wife, Rosie, and his one year old son, Finn (who also is a keen dancer).
