Rick Donald stars in "Friends with Better Lives" on CBS as Lowell.

On Australian television, Rick Donald starred as Constable Daniel Parks in "The Doctor Blake Mysteries" and played recurring roles in "House Husbands" and "Home and Away." People first took notice of him though for his portrayal of Barney Dalton, the most bad-assed man ever to play rugby league, in "Underbelly." His work in that series and the TV movie "Blood Brothers" garnered him a Silver Logie nomination for Most Popular Actor in 2012.

He also appeared in the miniseries "Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo" and the TV movie "Dripping in Chocolate," and guest starred in the series "Tricky Business" and "Crownies." In addition, he lent his voice to to the animated series "The Woodlies." He made his television debut in 2007 in "Sea Patrol."

On the big screen, Donald was seen in "Before the Rain."

Donald trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
