Riley Bria from "American Idol 2015" is one of the top 24 contestants in Season 14 of the FOX reality singing competition. He sang "Georgia Woods" by Keith Urban for his audition in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a high school student in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Riley Bria is a singer and songwriter who was originally raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He won the Texaco Country Showdown Songwriting Contest for his original song "Live, Laugh, Love." In addition, he once played backup guitar for Keith Urban at the American Country Awards in Las Vegas in 2012.

Bria is a member of the band Levi Road, originally known as Headstrong, along with his three brothers — Jaden, Riley and Spencer — and their good friend Josh Woratyla.

Here is an interview with Riley:

When did you first start singing?

I guess I've kind of been singing all my life. I used to hum melodies of songs to my mom before I could talk. I've been singing in church, just in the congregation, since I knew how. But the very first time I really sang as a performer was in my sixth-grade talent show. I had never performed before and I didn't have a band. But I had heard there was a kid that played drums and a kid that played bass, and we played "Eye of the Tiger." Freaking epic … It was probably awful, but that was the most fun I had ever had. I've been trying to do it ever since to keep that sixth-grader's dream alive.
What role does music play in your life?

In my life, quite honestly, music is not my source of income. But it is my goal to make it one. It shouldn't be a priority over school, but it often is. And it hasn't saved my life or anything like that. It is my life. It's all I ever want to do. It is my plan A and my plan Z.
What makes you unique?

I think something that makes me unique are my musical influences. I've grown up listening to a lot of '80s rock, mainly classic rock, and 80's hair metal. My parents were always low key country fans in one way or another, so I knew all of the words to a lot of Brad Paisley songs when I was a tike, not even thinking that it was country music. And then, when I was about 12 or 13, a good buddy of mine turned me on to the rest of modern country music, first and foremost, Keith Urban. My taste for country music stemmed from Keith and other artists like him. i.e. Rascal Flatts, Hunter Hayes, Dierks Bentley, and anyone else that had cool guitar work in their tracks. So for me, my country classics are those guys that I was first into as a younger fan. I respect older country music and I'm quickly becoming a fan of works from Vince Gill and the likes, but my bread and butter are the greats of today.
Do you have a wish list of writers you'd like to write with? If so, who?

Yes. Richard Marx, Chris DeStefano, Eric Paslay, Charlie Worsham, Danny Orton, Shane McAnally, Sarah Buxton, Darrell Brown, Jaren Johnston, busbee, Brett Beavers, Monty Powell, Sam Hunt, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood
What are your top thee all-time favorite songs and why?

"I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt, "Summer Nights" by Rascal Flatts and "How I Learned to Pray" by Charlie Worsham are some of my favorite songs because I connect with them emotionally. Those are songs that captured the moment and emotion of what the lyrics are trying to say, and the picture they're trying to paint for the listener.
What is your strongest musical strength?

My strongest musical strength seems to teeter between my guitar playing and my singing.
What is your greatest musical weakness?

I'm not the songwriter I wish I was. YET.
Who are your top three favorite and most influential artists? What is it about your favorite artists that you are drawn to?

Keith Urban, Charlie Worsham, and Dan and Shay. For Keith, it has a lot to do with his live performance. That's what I became a fan of, and it'll always be my favorite part about his music. Keith's guitar playing has also had a huge impact on my playing as I am continuing to develop and learn new things. For Charlie, his songs are some of my favorite to listen to and play. His playing is awesome, and the songs speak volumes to me. For Dan and Shay, I love their production and all the intricacies of their record. I strongly admire that Dan had a big part in the production of the record. They also had a record deal within the first year of meeting each other, which will always impress me. They're all artists that have worked hard, and took years to hone their craft before they were able to make money doing it. They're all also great singers in their own respect, and each of their voices has influenced mine.
If you had to pattern your career after another artist, who would it be and why?

I don't think I could say any particular artist. I would want to pattern my career after anyone who has had a career of longevity, relevance, ability to help others, and maintenance of artist integrity.
Why do you think you should be the next "American Idol"?

I'm just going to do my thing and see how far I get. If there's even the chance of me winning, that's awesome! But it's been a blessing just to get as far as I have.
