Riley Griffiths stars in "Super 8," opposite Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning, as Charles. The sci-fi thriller is written and directed by J.J. Abrams. "Super 8" marks Griffiths' movie debut.

Born in a small town in Southern Utah, Riley Griffiths discovered a passion for performing at a young age, first taking the stage at the age of six to play the role of Nick Bottom in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." His first professional acting role came three years later when, at the age of nine, he starred as Robin in the summer line-up for the Utah Shakespearean Festival's "The Merry Wives of Windsor."

Other stage credits for Griffiths include "King Lear," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Romeo and Juliet," "Twelfth Night," "A Christmas Carol," "Pirates of Penzance," "Comedy of Errors," "Cyrano de Bergerac," "Seussical Jr.," and, once again, this time as Lysander, in "A Midsummer NIght's Dream."

With "Super 8" poised to take his career to the next level, Riley now splits his time between Seattle and Los Angeles. Griffiths enjoys playing football, basketball, snowboarding, drawing, and spending time with his family.
