Roberi Parra from "Project Runway 2016" is one of the contestants in Season 15 of the Lifetime reality fashion design competition series. He is a 32-year-old designer, currently living in Miami, Florida. He was raised though in Caracas, Venezuela.

Roberi was designing clothing in Venezuela for over ten years before coming to the United States in March of 2016. He left his family behind and completely started over, settling in Miami. He wants to live the American dream and show his family that anything is possible.

When asked who are his favorite designers, Parra says, "Different designers for different moments. I prefer those with a unique point of view and ideas." His style icon is Bjork.

Here is an interview with Parra:

When did you realize you had designer potential?

After finishing high school I wanted to study architecture, but then I realized that I wanted to see my ideas materialized. Fashion school was the perfect option for me. I immediately fell in love with the craft.

What is your design training?

Fashion Design, CFA Brivil. Caracas, Venezuela. Fashion Design, Central Saint Martins. London, United Kingdom.

Strengths as a designer?

I am very focused and curious, and technically and conceptually open to experimentation.

Weaknesses as a designer?

I tend to stay in the research mode all the time. Sometimes I need to force myself to stop.

How did you end up auditioning for "Project Runway"?

I moved from Caracas to United States and was looking for a job with a established designer or at a fashion studio. Then two weeks and almost 200 emails before, I got a casting call notification on my Facebook feed. I did the video on my phone while walking home. Why not? I thought. A few weeks later I got an email, "Congratulations!"

Challenge you wish they'd bring back?

The museum challenge.

Challenge you hope they don't?

Dressing dogs.

What's your take on team challenges?

Team challenges are great. It's an opportunity to explore to work with someone else. More ideas, another pair of eyes.

Do you think you can win "Project Runway"?

Of course! I'm very happy to have the opportunity to show what I'm capable, and very confident in my abilities to communicate ideas. I just want to be myself and share my point of view with everyone.
