Ron Montez is one of the choreographers on FOX's reality dance competition, "So You Think You Can Dance."

Ron Montez is one of the most respected personalities in the dance business. Montez is a seven-time undefeated United States Professional Latin Champion, achieved fourth place in the World Professional Latin Championships held at Royal Albert Hall in London and has reached the finals of the prestigious British Championship in Blackpool, England. Montez is recognized as a world-class adjudicator and dance coach on both American and international styles. Montez was the co-host and expert commentator for the PBS television series "Championship Ballroom Dancing," which was co-hosted by Rita Moreno, the late Juliet Prowse, Barbara Eden and Sandy Duncan.

Montez is an examiner for DIVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association). In this capacity Montez evaluates both amateur and professional dancers seeking to obtain certification. Montez's instructional tapes and DVDs including bronze, silver and gold levels are available to the public.

Each year, Montez and his wife Karla organize the San Diego Dance Camp and New Year's Eve gala, an opportunity for dancers of all abilities to attend classes and lectures taught by world-class coaches. This week of training and fun concludes with a New Year's Eve celebration and professional showcase.
