Ryan Hurst stars in "Sons of Anarchy" on FX as Harry "Opie" Winston. The stoic, brutal son of Pinety, Winston is a loving father of two and the most trusted friend of the show's leading character, Jax.

On the big screen, Ryan Hurst recently starred in "Rango" as the voice of Jedidiah. The animated action-comedy also features the voices of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher and Timothy Olyphant.

A remarkably versatile actor with marked skills behind the camera, Ryan D. Hurst is best known for his breakout performance starring opposite Denzel Washington in Disney's mega-hit "Remember the Titans," for which he also directed the film's second unit footage. Additional high-profile feature film roles include Steven Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan," the Coen Brothers' "The Ladykillers" with Tom Hanks, "We Were Soldiers" with Mel Gibson, "Patch Adams" with Robin Williams, and "Rules of Engagement" with Samuel L. Among his professional theater credits, Hurst's starring role in "The Last Night of Ballyhoo" with Rhea Pearlman and Rebecca Gayheart earned him the "Best Performance in a Comedy" award from Backstage West. The Viking Underground Repertory, Hurst's Equity Theater Production Company, debuted to rave reviews in 2004 with its newly adapted production of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," in which Hurst starred, directed and produced. Currently, the Viking Underground is in residence at the newly renovated, 1300 seat Barnum Hall Theater and consistently produces award-winning classical theater and original works.
