Israeli Arab actor Salim Dau is perhaps best known in his home country for starring in the drama series "Prisoners of War." He was also seen in the miniseries "The Promise" and had a recurring role in the comedy series "Jaffa Pictures."

Middle Eastern film credits include "A Bottle in the Gaza Sea," "James' Journey to Jerusalem," "The Milky Way," "The Flying Camel," "Max and Morris," "Curfew," "For Sasha,""Swallows Do Not Die in Jerusalem," "Cup Final," "The Quarry" and "A Thousand and One Wives." He was also featured in the documentary film "A History of Israeli Cinema."

Dau is a Palestinian refugee of Galilee.
