Sam Witwer Smallville Sam Witwer Pictures Joining the cast of The CW's "Smallville" this season, Sam Witwer is familiar to television audiences from his role as Crashdown on the cult hit "Battlestar Galactica." Sam Witwer plays Davis Bloome, a paramedic who will ultimately turn into one of DC Comics' most infamous villains, "Doomsday." Sam Witwer was born in Glenview, Illinois. Sam Witwer discovered his love for acting while in high school, participating in the drama and theater classes. Sam Witwer was also the lead singer of a high school band. Sam Witwer attended the Julliard School of Drama before heading out to Los Angeles. Sam Witwer made his big screen debut in "The Mist," as Private Jessup. Sam Witwer is best known for his roles as Crashdown on the television series "Battlestar Galactica," and as Neil Perry on "Dexter." His other television credits include guest appearances on "Bones," "Star Trek: New Voyages," "NCIS," "Dragnet," "Cold Case," "TAG" and "ER." Next up for Sam Witweris his role in George Lucas' highly anticipated "Star Wars" video game, "The Force Unleashed." Sam Witwer provides the voice for the central character, which was also modeled after him. The video game debuts on September 16, 2008. Sam Witwer resides in Los Angeles and is the lead singer of his band "The Crashtones."
