Samuel Anderson stars in "Doctor Who" as Danny Pink, a teacher at Coal Hill School where Clara (Jenna Coleman) also works.

British actor Samuel Anderson is perhaps best known for playing police officer Ross Kirk in ITV's long-running soap opera "Emmerdale" from 2007 to 2009. On UK television, he has also had recurring roles in BBC's "Casualty" and "Gavin & Stacey" and Channel 4's comedy "Totally Frank." In addition, he has appeared in episodes of "Doctors," "Death in Paradise," "Midsomer Murders," "Bedlam," "DCI Banks" and "Hex."

On the big screen, Anderson made his feature debut opposite Richard Griffiths in Nicholas Hytner's "The History Boys," reprising his role as Crowther from the Tony Award-winning play of the same name. Anderson can also be seen in the films "Highlight" and "Betsy & Leonard."
