"Sand Masters" Season 2 is a reality series on the Travel Channel.

It will stop you in your tracks, ignite your imagination and leave you breathless. The fragile and fantastic art of sand sculpture proves that, in the right hands, something as ordinary and accessible as sand can be transformed into a mind-blowing masterpiece right before your eyes, and can be unintentionally wiped out in seconds.

Award-winning sand sculptor Rusty Croft has turned that thrilling roller coaster of creativity into a career. Whether he's competing in world championship events or building attention-grabbing sand creations for corporate clients, Rusty loves to play in the sand. And he's not alone. Rusty has joined forces with his longtime friend-turned-business partner, Kirk Rademaker. These "Sand Guys" travel the planet as two of the world's most in-demand sand carvers.

Due to their totally different artistic styles, skill-sets and approaches to their craft, creative sparks fly as this odd-couple brings the best out of each other on the sand pile. Rusty is the gregarious, business-minded, client-pleasing sand ambassador while Kirk is the free flowing, risk-taking mad scientist of sand.

Together, with their stable of world-class sculptors, including Matt Long, Andy Gertler, Sue McGrew and Morgan Rudluff, they attempt to deliver on their demanding client's outrageous requests. It doesn't matter if it's a working champagne tower made entirely of sand glasses, a 60-ton sculpture that shoots fire, or a light saber wielding replica of Darth Vader, these sculptors make sand look sensational.

But how do six artists agree on a single vision? Often times, they don't. No matter what the occasion, our sand designers attempt to collaborate on a unified plan that walks that fine line between awesome and impossible. And they know from experience that not all sand is created equal. Collapses are common, suspenseful and devastating, leaving barely enough time for our sculptors to redesign and deliver something spectacular to their clients.

From a tribal new year in New Zealand to Fleet Week in Times Square, our sculptors are commissioned to make massive yet delicate sand sculptures for huge publicity stunts, local festivals and rich folks with money to burn. Whether it's the jungle-lined beaches of Costa Rica, the bustling back streets of Thailand, or the sky-high slopes of Aspen, these sand superstars are invited by clients like Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey Circus, The Royal Hawaiian Resort and Legoland to create ingenious art for important events in some of the world's most enticing locations.

Wherever they go, the sculptors unearth the ultimate inspiration for each work of art by immersing themselves in local cultures, customs and adventures. Then they pound up the sand, carve it down and beat the clock to reveal their finished work. For these professionals, it's just another day at the office..

Dig in with Rusty, Kirk and the team on their globetrotting assignments to turn ordinary sand into mind-blowing masterpieces.
