Sara Serraiocco stars in "Counterpart" on Starz as Baldwin.

Born in Pescara, Italy, Sara Serraiocco has cultivated a passion for dance and cinema ever since she was child. After her studies she moved to Rome where she attended Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. After making her television debut in an episode of the Italian series "RIS - Crimini Imperfetti, she landed the lead role in the acclaimed film "Salvo," where she played the role of the blind Rita that earned her several major awards, including the Globo d'Oro for Best Actress and the Nastro d'Argento for Newcomer of the Year.

In 2014 Serraiocco was chosen by director Liliana Cavani to play the role of Chiara of Assisi in the miniseries "Francis." In 2015 she starred as the protagonist in the feature film "Cloro," directed by Lamberto Sanfelice, presented in official competition at the Sundance Film Festival and the 65th Berlinale in the Generation category. For this role she was nominated for the Globo d'Oro for Best Leading Actress. Serraiocco then co-starred alongside Donatella Finocchiaro and Barry Ward in the movie "L'accabadora," directed by Enrico Pau, and starred in "La Ragazza del Mondo" (aka "Worldly Girl"), directed by Marco Danieli, which won her the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival in 2016.

Serraiocco was chosen as a European Shooting Star in 2016.
