Selles Morris from "The First 48: Missing Persons" is one of the police detectives featured in the A&E reality series.

Det. Selles Morris took a winding road to law enforcement. After college, he served 3 years in the Army, then worked as a tennis pro before joining the Chicago Police Department. Now a 14-year veteran, he's spent the last decade with the Missing Persons Unit. He credits college courses in calculus, architecture and philosophy for shaping his investigative approach. "I think analytically, I'm always looking beyond the facts to the relationships between them," he says. "It's like math — you're trying to solve a formula."

Morris is married and has a 3-year-old daughter. He still finds time to play competitive tennis in several leagues.
