Shane McRae stars in "Rewind," a Syfy thriller pilot, as Henry Knox, ex-Special Forces who ranks as a field operative in a special division of the Department of Homeland Security. The next year he tried out for "Bye, Bye Birdie" and played the part of Randolph MacAfee. The next few years saw him star in several different SHS productions, including "Hello Dolly," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Pais."
In 1995, McRae enrolled at Mississippi State University and performed in the school's production of "South Pacific" as Luther Billis, a performance for which he was awarded the title of Irene Ryan Regional Finalist. In 1996, he chose to transfer to the University of Evansville to study theater. McRae then attended the NYU Graduate Acting program where he received his master's degree.
In 1998, he made his debut TV appearance in the "Promised Land" episode "Balancing Act." He also appeared in "All Over Again" as Nelson and in the Tony-winning "Take Me Out" on Broadway as Jason Chenier. His other notable TV appearances include "Gossip Girl," "Medium," "Cold Case," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Robot Chicken," "One Life to Live" as well as a series regular role on "Four Kings," starring Seth Green, as Bobby.
On the big screen, McRae has been seen in "The Help," starring Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, "The Adjustment Bureau," starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, and "Killer Pad" among others.
His theater credits include "Fifth of July," directed for Bay Street, and "Williamstown" by Terry Kinney, "Killer's and Other Family" (Rattlestick) and "Richard III" (Public Theatre).

10 his family moved to Starkville, Mississippi, where several years later he would try out for Starkville High School's spring musical, "Oklahoma!" He was cast, but the musical conflicted with soccer. McRae chose soccer.The next year he tried out for "Bye, Bye Birdie" and played the part of Randolph MacAfee.
