Shannen Doherty reprises her role as Brenda Walsh from FOX's "Beverly Hills 90210" on The CW's new "90210."

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Shannen Doherty moved to Los Angeles with her family at the age of seven. By age 11, after several guest star spots, Shannen Doherty got her television break with a three-season role on her favorite series at the time: "Little House on the Prairie." Shannen Doherty's entree to the big screen came with a part in "Night Shift" (1982), though she continued to keep busy in television throughout the '80s, finishing off the decade with the biting teen feature "Heathers" (1989).

But everything changed for Shannen Doherty in the '90s as the new decade found her on the phenomenally popular series "Beverly Hills 90210" in the role of Brenda Walsh. Shannen Doherty left the show after five seasons, with personal tensions on and off the set unfortunately garnering media attention. More than a dozen telefilms, including "Blindfold: Acts of Obsession," "Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story" and "Gone in the Night," as well as the feature "Mallrats" followed before Shannen Doherty returned to series work in "Charmed" as Prue Halliwell, the oldest of the powers of three, from 1998 through 2001. Shannen Doherty appeared in the Canadian production "The Rendering" and co-starred with Shirley MacLaine and Parker Posey in the telefilm "The Battle of Mary Kay (2003).
