Sheaun McKinney stars in "Vice Principals" on HBO as Dayshaun.

Sheaun McKinney previously had a recurring role in USA Network's drama series "Graceland" and has also appeared in episodes of "Common Law" and "Burn Notice." In addition, he was seen in the independent feature film "Know Thy Enemy."

Born and raised in Florida, Sheaun McKinney studied theater at Miami Dade College before co-founding Miami's acclaimed Ground Up & Rising theater company. He made his stage debut as an actor while still in college at Gablestage in "A Lesson Before Dying," for which he was nominated for a Carbonell Award for Best Actor in 2002. Some of his most powerful roles have included playing both Satan and Jesus in Ground Up's acclaimed production of Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly's Guirgis' "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot," Booth in Pulitzer Prize winner Susan Lori-Parks' "Top Dog Underdog," Valdez in Guirgis "Jesus Hopped the A Train," and Dougie in Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph's "Gruesome Playground Injuries."

McKinney won the Best Actor Monologue Competition in 2011 at the American Black Film Festival for "Star Project," as well as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the L.A. Web Series Festival for his work in "Make It Happen," which he also wrote and produced. The series also won the Audience Award at NBC Universal's ShortCuts Film Festival in 2011.
