VH1's "Sober House" will chronicle the dramatic, real life experiences of a group of celebrities in recovery. These recovering addicts will move into a group "Sober House" for several weeks, in an effort to make the critical transition to new lives free of drugs and alcohol.

The "Sober House" is an interim step on the path to sobriety, where addicts can live in a supervised environment with structure and rules, i.e. mandatory curfews, chores and meetings. "Sober House" is a place where celebrity addicts, most of whom have spent the better part of their lives in the throes of an addiction, will learn to start their lives over from the ground up. In some cases, they will be changing everything, from their jobs to their friends. Many will be making the very difficult decision to dissociate themselves from loved ones who are toxic to their sobriety.

Throughout this experience on "Sober House," they will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Drew in both one-on-one and group therapy to work through their ongoing issues. He and his staff will be always keeping a watchful eye over all that goes on at the "Sober House."

In the end, we will witness the real life struggles of these celebrity patients, whose sobriety hangs by a thread. Faced with the pressures of daily life, many of them act out as they strive to find the path to a much happier and fulfilling life.
