ABC Family's comedy series, "Sophie" revolves around Sophie Parker (Natalie Brown), a beautiful, intelligent and successful young woman who had everything she ever wanted: a successful talent agency, a loving boyfriend and a baby on the way. But all at once everything falls apart. Her boyfriend of several years, Rick (Sebastian Spence), leaves her right as the baby is about to be born and moves in with Sophie's best friend—and top client—Melissa (Amy Lalonde). As if Rick's infidelity wasn't enough, he decides to add insult to injury by opening up a competing talent agency and starts poaching clients from Sophie's talent list. Of course, the one client he chooses to leave on Sophie's hand is her most challenging, Estelle (Sara Botsford). An aging neurotic actress who hasn't given up that her 15 minutes are over yet, Estelle also happened to be Sophie's father's mistress, thus giving her the feeling that she is family – whether Sophie likes it or not.

Now having to deal with being a single mom, Sophie must take on the job of rebuilding her business, as well as the life she once knew. To help her get through the tough times with a shoulder to cry on and a bottle of wine, Sophie leans on her best-friend Matt (Jeff Geddis) who gives her advice on everything from men to medical ailments. Unfortunately, Sophie can't count on her manipulative mother Judith (Mimi Kuzyk) the same way. Judith is sure that Sophie and Rick are meant to be together and will pull every trick in the book to get her way. With all that is going on and all the directions Sophie is being pulled, she tries to maintain a positive attitude and stand strong in her designer heels as she tackles the most challenging year of her life.

"Sophie" was created by Richard Blaimert. Jocelyn Deschênes is executive producer.
