Stephen Graham stars in "Taboo" on FX as Atticus.

Stephen Graham followed his appearance opposite Brad Pitt in "Snatch" with his American debut in the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers" and then in Martin Scorsese's "Gangs of New York." He played Baby Face Nelson in "Public Enemies" in 2009, alongside Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Graham earned raves for his work in the Shane Meadows' BAFTA-winning film for Best Feature, "This Is England," in which he played the psychopathic racist Combo, together with the recent follow-up Channel 4 miniseries "This Is England '86," "This Is England '88" and "This Is England '90," which also secured him a TV BAFTA nomination.

On the big screen, Graham also starred in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" as Scrum, "Season of the Witch," opposite Nicolas Cage, as Hagamar, "The Fields" with Sam Worthington and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, "Best Laid Plans" and "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy," alongside Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy and Colin Firth. Graham also donned a ginger wig to portray Billy Bremner in the 2009 film "The Damned United."

Other notable credits on television include Jimmy McGovern's "The Street," in which Graham received an RTS award nomination, McGovern's "Accused," opposite Sean Bean, as well as HBO's "Parade's End" with Benedict Cumberbatch. Graham is also known for playing the iconic role of Al Capone opposite Steve Buscemi in Martin Scorsese's "Boardwalk Empire" for HBO, which ran for five seasons. Graham was also seen in the BBC's "The Secret Agent."

In addition to his film and television work, Graham is also featured in the music video for the Arctic Monkeys' hit "When the Sun Goes Down," and the short film based on the song, "Scummy Man." He was also featured in the video for Arctic Monkeys' "Fluorescent Adolescent" and for the Deadmau5 and Kaskade hit "I Remember."
