Stephen Lovatt stars in "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on Starz as Tullius, the man that Batiatus (John Hannah) would like to be. He sits at the head of Capua's elite class, steeped in money and rank and fearing no other's ambition.

Stephen Lovatt is a graduate of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. He is one of New Zealand's most experienced and prolific stage and screen actors. He continues to work in Australia where his most recent work was five years on the very popular television show "Neighbours."

He has appeared on the television series "Legend of the Seeker," "Spies and Lies," "Being Eve," "Go Girls," "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "Young Hercules" and "Stolen." Film credits include "Beyond Therapy," "Show of Hands," "Savage Honeymoon" and "The Last Tattoo." Theater productions include "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "Arsenic & Old Lace," "The Importance of Being Ernest," "Macbeth," "Baby Doll," and "Burn This."

Lovatt was nominated for a Chapman Tripp Theatre Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Septimus Hodge in "Arcadia."
