Tamlyn Tomita stars in "Berlin Station" on Epix as Sandra Abe, a quiet presence lording over the efficient operation of Berlin Station while having an affair with her boss, Steven Frost (Richard Jenkins).

In 1984 Tamlyn Tomita was selected as part of a casting call by director John G. Avildsen to make her acting debut in "The Karate Kid, Part II," playing Kumiko, the love interest of Ralph Macchio's character Daniel Larusso. She later starred in the 1990 drama "Come See the Paradise," written and directed by Alan Parker. In 1993 she co-starred opposite Ming-Na Wen in the ensemble drama "The Joy Luck Club" and the following year Tomita appeared in "Picture Bride." In 1995 she was seen in the vignette anthology comedy film "Four Rooms," alongside Antonio Banderas, in the segment directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Tomita more recently played Janet Tokada — the climate scientist that teams up with climatology professor Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid) — in Roland Emmerich's disaster film "The Day After Tomorrow." In 2005 she starred in the Brazilian drama "Gaijin 2: Love Me as I Am." She also had leading roles in the independent films "Robot Stories" (2003) and "Only the Brave" (2006). In addition, Tomita appeared in "The Eye" (2008) and "Tekken" (2009).

On television Tomita had her first big break with a series regular role in NBC's daytime soap opera "Santa Barbara" from 1987 to 1989. She recently played the recurring role of Noshiko Yukimura in MTV's "Teen Wolf" and Dr. Toni Willis in ABC's "Resurrection." She has also recurred in ABC Family's "Chasing Life"; FOX's "Glee"; NBC's "Days of Our Lives," "Law & Order: Los Angeles" and "Heroes"; Syfy's "Eureka"; FOX's "24"; CBS's "JAG"; and UPN's "The Burning Zone." In addition, she has appeared in episodes of "Zoo," "How to Get Away with Murder," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "True Blood," "Bones," "Hollywood Heights," "Touch," "Make It or Break It," "The Chicago Code," "Memphis Beat," "Private Practice," "CSI: Miami," "Criminal Minds," "The Mentalist," "Monk," "Stargate Atlantis" and "Saving Grace."

In 1991 Tomita was featured in People magazine as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People" in the world.
