Tara Filer from "Out of the Wild: Venezuela" is one of the volunteers featured in the Discovery Channel reality series. Tara ("Out of the Wild") is a law enforcement ranger.

Tara Filer calls herself a walking contradiction. While she loves shopping and getting dressed up, there's nothing she'd rather be doing than hunting, hiking, lifting weights, fishing or shooting her rifle. Working as a law enforcement ranger patrolling the Oregon woods, she climbs steep terrain to access marijuana fields, criminal dump sites and stolen cars.

Having spent time working for the Department of Fish and Game, she's conducted wildlife surveys and swift water rescues. To date, she has been to 23 countries and every continent except Antarctica (but she hopes to add it to her list one day).
