Terry Chen stars in "Combat Hospital" on ABC as trauma team leader Captain Bobby Trang.

Terry Chen was born in Edmonton, Alberta, to a Taiwanese father and Chinese mother. At a young age, he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, in order to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. After two years of traveling, his big break arrived with the supporting role of Rolling Stone editor Ben Fong Torres in the much-lauded film "Almost Famous," directed by Cameron Crowe. The film remains a modern classic, and launched the careers of several actors, including Kate Hudson.

Chen's other film credits include "I, Robot," "The Chronicles of Riddick," "Snakes on a Plane," "40 Days and 40 Nights," "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever," "Chaos," "War" and the recent blockbuster remake of "The A-Team."

In addition to his work on the big screen, Chen has also played recurring roles on numerous American and Canadian television shows, including "Sanctuary," "Big Day," "Da Vinci's Inquest," and the critically acclaimed Syfy revival of "Battlestar Galactica."

Terry currently splits his time between Los Angeles and Vancouver.
