"The Amazing Race 29" on CBS is an adventure reality series that has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program ten times. The show has been nominated in the category every year since its inception in 2003. The series has notched fifteen total Emmy wins, including other categories, and 71 total Emmy nominations.

The series returns for Season 29 with a race unlike any before. In a brand new twist, all 22 racers are complete strangers who will meet on the starting line. Before "Go," racers will immediately compete in a challenge that will determine the order for picking a teammate, based on nothing but first impressions. These new pairs of teammates will then have mere moments to learn their traveling companion's name before beginning a race around the world that will span nine countries, seventeen cities and 36,000 miles.

Participants in the 29th race around the world include an Army Drill Sergeant, a pro snowboarder, a Wall Street banker, an auctioneer and a college drum major, among others. They will begin their journey in Los Angeles and head to their first destination, Panama City. Along the route, racers will be challenged with building and delivering desks and school supplies to children in Tanzania, skydiving in Norway and bungee jumping 240 feet into the Corinth Canal in Greece. The first team to cross the final finish line will win the one million dollar prize and be crowned the winners.

"The Amazing Race 29" contestants include Ashton Theiss, Becca Droz, Brooke Camhi, Floyd Pierce, Francesca Piccoli, Jenn Lee, Jessie Lynn Shields, Joey Covino, Kevin Ng, Liz Espey, Logan Bauer, London Kaye, Matt Ladley, Michael Rado, Olive Beauregard, Redmond Ramos, Sara Fowler, Scott Flanary, Seth Tyler, Shamir Arzeno, Tara Carr, and Vanck Zhu.

The series sends eleven teams on a trek around the world. Each team is comprised of two people. At every destination, each team competes in a series of challenges — some mental and some physical — and when the tasks have been completed, they learn their next destination. Teams who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning at least $1 million.

"The Amazing Race" was created by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri. Jerry Bruckheimer, Bertram van Munster, Jonathan Littman, Elise Doganieri and Mark Vertullo are the executive producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Earthview Inc. in association with ABC Studios and Amazing Race Productions.

cowboys played it straight and showed some class...lesbians showed they were bad sports
jean says:
The only team to play an honest game were Jet and Cord. They were polite to people in different countries and didn't try to destroy the cabs when the drivers went the wrong way. The so called winners were truly "Ugly Americans". Such a disappointing finale.
ccfla says:
These guys should have won. They ran the best race like 2 Texas gentlemen, fair. If all their fans gave a buck to ABC for Jet and Coard they would get the million they deserve.
triffid says:
It's been a long time since I've laughed out loud from a tv program, go Amazing Race

Got spoilers? What did you think of the last show?
