On "The Amazing Race 16," contestants will travel nearly 40,000 miles across five continents and eight countries. On "The Amazing Race" 2010, eleven teams start off by navigating through the congested streets of Los Angeles and, for the first time ever, must rely solely on public transportation to make their way to LAX. The teams' first destination in "The Amazing Race 16" lies in Chile where they will encounter one of the most daunting Roadblocks in the history of the series. In their ongoing battle for the one million dollar prize on "The Amazing Race 2010," teams will participate in a grueling World War I reenactment in France, retrace the early days of the iconic rock group, The Beatles, and come face-to-face with one of the world's most infamous villains.

"The Amazing Race" Season 16 features teams from all walks of life, including couples, parents, siblings, friends, models, lawyers, detectives and even cowboys. The "The Amazing Race" 2010 teams include dating couple Jordan LLoyd & Jeff Schroeder from "Big Brother 11," dating models Caite Upton & Brent Horne, detective Louis Stravato & Michael Naylor, father-and-daughter Steve Smith & Allie Smith, attorneys Monique Pryor & Shawne Morgan, cowboys Jet McCoy & Cord McCoy, high school sweethearts Dana Davis & Adrian Davis, grandmother-and-granddaughter Jody Kelly & Shannon Foster, dating couple Cara Rosenfeld & Brandy Snow, brothers Dan Pious & Jordan Pious, and married couple Joe Wang & Heidi Wang.

The Emmy Award-winning "The Amazing Race" received its seventh consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program in 2009.

"The Amazing Race" is a six-time Emmy Award-winning adventure reality series hosted by Emmy-nominated host, Phil Keoghan, which pits 11 teams, each team comprised of two members, against each other on a trek around the world. At every destination, each team on "The Amazing Race" will have to compete in a series of challenges, some mental and some physical, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as "The Amazing Race" progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.
