"The Glades" Season 4 on A&E is a character driven police procedural set in the fictional town of Palm Glade, Florida, starring Australian actor Matt Passmore ("McLeod's Daughters," "Underbelly"), Kiele Sanchez ("Lost," "Samantha Who?") and Carlos Gomez ("Shark," "Sleeper Cell").

In "The Glades," Passmore stars as Jim Longworth, an attractive and brilliant Chicago homicide detective with a reputation for being difficult. When his captain wrongfully accuses him of sleeping with his wife and shoots him, he is exiled and forced to relocate. He lands in the sleepy, middle-of-nowhere town of Palm Glade, outside of the Florida Everglades, where sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. But Longworth soon finds out this town isn't quite as idyllic as he originally thought, when murders keep piling up. Each case pulls Longworth off the golf course and reluctantly into his element as one of the sharpest homicide detectives to wear a badge.

Season 3

In "The Glades" Season 3, Callie (Kiele Sanchez) decides to stay in Palm Glade to make it work with Jim (Matt Passmore). However, when she finds jobs in the area to be scarce, their relationship is put to the test as she considers relocating for work. Meanwhile, the station gets shaken up when the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) sends Jennifer Starke (Taylor Cole), the beautiful, dynamic FDLE bureau chief, to evaluate the station's successful track record in hopes to recreate its high arrest rate state-wide. It soon becomes clear that the success is largely due to Longworth's unorthodox style of investigation. In order to accomplish her goal, the bureau chief decides to take a more hands on approach in her evaluation, creating an interesting tension between the striking bureau chief and the lone wolf Detective Longworth.

In the season premiere, when Jim and Carlos (Carlos Gomez) investigate the death of a millionaire who bequeathed all his wealth to an organization of UFO enthusiasts, the organization's leader accuses the police of covering up the true cause of death: an alien abduction. Meanwhile, Jim and Callie's (Kiele Sanchez) relationship heats up, but Callie's job search to keep her in Palm Glade falters.

Season 4

Season 4 is packed with even more mystery, intrigue and fun from Florida's favorite homicide investigator — the disarmingly charming Detective Jim Longworth. From haunted plantations to rum-soaked shot girls and even a zombie apocalypse, Longworth is once again solving murders that can only happen in the Sunshine State. This season also promises more drama on the personal front for Longworth, Carlos, Manus (Michelle Hurd) and Daniel (Jordan Wall) as friends and relatives from near and far arrive on the scene. But the big question remains to be answered as Longworth waits for Callie to accept his marriage proposal, or not.

In the season four premiere episode, Longworth must delve into a 150-year-old ghost story to solve a murder when the dead body of an heiress is found in a haunted plantation house.

"The Glades" is produced by Fox Television Studios for A&E Network. The series executive producer is Clifton Campbell ("White Collar," "Profiler," "21 Jump Street") for Innuendo Productions and Gary Randall ("Saving Grace") for Grand Productions, Inc. The series creator is Clifton Campbell.

The details will cost this show: Drinking on duty; snapping fingers to get cops to arrest a suspect; what criminal tries to break inside a house with the lights on; and as alert as Callie is, it's hard to believe she did not hear the door being messed with and aware that there was an arrest happening outside her house.
