Tim Griffin stars in "Prime Suspect" as Augie Blando. Adapted from the British miniseries, the NBC series is about an iconoclastic female detective (Maria Bello) who has to make her bones in a tough New York precinct dominated by men.

Tim Griffin was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Vermonth with a B.A. in English and Political Philosophy.

His film debut came in the 1995 drama "Higher Learning," which he followed with the science fiction thriller "Evolver." He went on to appear in "Boys and Girls," "Cherish" and "The Bourne Supremacy," starring Matt Damon. More recently, Griffin has appeared in J.J. Abrams' "Cloverfield," "Leatherheads," starring George Clooney, "Iron Man," starring Robert Downey Jr., "The Men Who Stare at Goats," starring Jeff Bridges, and in "Star Trek," alongside Karl Urban.

Griffin's first TV appearance came on "In the Heat of the Night." More recently, he had a recurring role on "Grey's Anatomy," as Ronny O'Malley, as well as recurring roles in "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Party of Five" and "ER." His other recent appearances include "The Defenders," "Outlaw," "Big Love" and "Lie to Me."
