Tim Robbins stars in "Green Lantern" as Hammond, a staple of the long-running DC Comics series. The comic book movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Robbins also recently starred in HBO's "Cinema Verite," a television movie that explored the origin of reality television.

Among Robbins' other film credits as an actor are "The Secret Life of Words," "Catch a Fire," Robert Altman's "Short Cuts," "The Hudsucker Proxy," "War of the Worlds," "Arlington Road," "Code 46," "Human Nature," "Five Corners," "Jacob's Ladder," and the classic baseball movie "Bull Durham."

As a playwright, Robbins has been produced in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. His 2003 play, "Embedded," sold out for over four months at the Public Theater in New York before playing in London and embarking on a national tour of the U.S. From 2006 until the present, Le Petit Theatre de Pain's production of "Embedded" has been touring France. His most recent play, "Break the Whip," the first of a planned trilogy exploring the beginnings of the United States, recently played to sold-out audiences at the Actors Gang Theater in LA.

Robbins serves as the Artistic Director for the Actors Gang, a theater company founded in 1982, and with over eighty productions and a hundred awards to their credit. Robbins recently directed an successful, shockingly relevant stage adaptation of George Orwell's "1984." The theater is also a huge sponsor of educational arts programs for students in LA areas as well as LA inmates. Additionally, Robbins own stage adaptation of "Dead Man Walking" has been performed in over 140 universities nationwide.
