Tom Hughes stars in Starz' "Dancing on the Edge" as Julian. The miniseries follows the fortunes of a black Jazz band in Depression-era London.

British actor Tom Hughes received his training from London's prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). He recently starred in BBC's telefilm "The Lady Vanishes," a lavish adaptation of the book that inspired the classic Sir Alfred Hitchcock thriller of the same name. He has also starred in ITV's Agatha Christie mystery "Marple: Endless Night" and drama series "Trinity." in addition to a recurring role in BBC's "Silk." He had his first big break in UK television when he landed a starring role in BBC's "Casualty 1909."

On the big screen, Hughes has been featured in Richard Curtis' "About Time," starring Rachel McAdams and Bill Nighy, and "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll," opposite Andy Serkis. In 2010, he was nominated for the British Independent Film Award for Most Promising Newcomer for his work in Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant's "Cemetery Junction," alongside Ralph Fiennes and Matthew Goode.

In addition to acting, Hughes has also done some modeling and was the face of Burberry's Summer collection in 2008. He is also the guitar player for the band Quaintways.

In July 2010 Company Magazine voted him the tenth most eligible bachelor in Britain. He was also named one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine.
