Tom Pelphrey stars in "Marvel's Iron Fist" on Netflix as Ward Meachum.

Tom Pelphrey is perhaps best known for his debut role on television as Jonathan Randall in CBS's daytime soap opera "The Guiding Light" from 2004 to 2009. For his work, he won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series in both 2006 and 2008. He was also nominated in 2005 and 2007. He next played the role of Mick Dante in "As the World Turns" and more recently portrayed ex neo-nazi Kurt Bunker in Cinemax's action drama "Banshee." Guest appearances include "Black Box," "The Following," "Blue Bloods," "Body of Proof," "The Good Wife," "CSI: Miami," "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs."

Film credits include "Sam" with Morgan Fairchild, "#Lucky Number," alongside Method Man, "A Cry from Within," opposite Eric Roberts, "Turtle Island," "Anchors," "Excuse Me for Living" with Jerry Stiller and Christopher LLoyd, "Tiger Lily Road," "Junction," alongside David Zayas, "The Girl Is in Trouble," opposite Wilmer Valderrama, and "Birds of America," starring Matthew Perry, Ben Foster and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Onstage, Pelphrey has performed in "Fool for Love" and "By the Water" at Manhattan Theatre Club, "End of the Rainbow" as Judy Garland's last husband, Mickey Deans, on Broadway and at the Guthrie, "Mauritius" at Dorset, "The Lion in Winter" at New Jersey Shakespeare, "My Italy Story" at Mile Square, "A New Television Arrives, Finally" at Shetler, "The Subject was Roses" at Penguin Repertory Theatre, and "Crazy Eights" at Ensemble Studio Theatre. He is a founding member and the artistic director of the non-profit Apothecary Theatre Company, where he starred in "An Evening with Don Nigro" and "In God's Hat."

Pelphrey earned his BFA in Acting at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. While a student there, he appeared in many school productions, including "Two Gentlemen of Verona," "Bus Stop"and "Pursuit and Perception," as well as both "Taming of the Shrew" and "Richard III" at Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London.
