Tomas Arana stars in "Limitless," opposite Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro, as Tan Coat, and "The Roommate," with Leighton Meester, Minka Kelly and Cam Gigandet, as Rebecca's dad.

Tomas Arana has appeared in more than 55 films ranging from large budget Hollywood Studio pictures to independent films in both the U.S. and Europe. He recently starred in "Defiance," directed by Ed Zwick and starring Daniel Craig, Liev Shreiber and Jamie Bell. "Defiance" tells the true story of the Bielski brothers, four brothers who formed a Jewish Partisan group fighting the Nazis in Belarus during World War II.

For Italian RAI Television, Arana played a lead role in the big hit series "Tutti Pazzi Per Amore," directed by Riccardo Milani. Also for RAI, he filmed "Crimini-bestie," directed by Andrea Manni and starring Pietro Taricone.

He continues to be recognized for his role of Quintus in Ridley Scott's "Gladiator," which won five Academy Awards, including best picture. His other studio features include "The Bourne Supremacy," "L.A. Confidential," "The Bourne Supremacy," "The Bodyguard," "Hunt for Red October," "Tombstone," "Pearl Harbor" and "First Kid." The combined worldwide gross box office revenues for these pictures surpass $1.5 billion. He also played Lazarus in Martin Scorsese's controversial "Last Temptation of Christ."

Tomas Arana has appeared in over 35 European productions including films by directors such as Lina Wertmuller, Liliana Cavani, Carlo Verdone, Pappi Corsicato, Michele Soavi, Lamberto Bava and with one of Japan's most successful directors, Koreyoshi Kurahara, in the Toho Production "See You," starring Ken Takakura. Tomas Arana has starred in more than 40 Television productions in Europe and the U.S., including appearances on "Lie to Me," "CSI," "24," "ER," and a multi-episode guest star role in the BBC spy show, "MI-5," winner of the BAFTA award for best Drama.

In theater, Arana was the producer as well as a leading actor in the internationally acclaimed Theatre Company "Falso Movimento," based in Naples, Italy. Under Arana and the artistic director, Mario Martone (now also a leading Italian film director), "Falso Movimento" won many awards including Best Play of the Year, Best Set Design and the prestigious Mondello Prize. Arana played in more than 700 performances with the company, touring worldwide for over nine years at major International Festivals and Theatres, including London, New York, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Madrid, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Jerusalem, San Francisco and others.



Arana grew up in San Francisco and studied classical theater at the prestigious "American Conservatory Theatre," afterwards relocating to New York and acting in off-Broadway productions. He then hitchhiked throughout Europe and ended up living in Naples, Italy, where he worked in the famous Lucio Amelio Art Gallery. There he worked with such artists as Warhol, Beuys, Rauschenberg, Richter, Longobardi, Clemente, Gilbert & George, etc. Andy Warhol painted his portrait, which is now part of Arana's extensive art collection. He lives between Italy and Hollywood with his wife and three sons.
