Toni Collette made an indelible impression on Hollywood with her role of Muriel Heslop in the 1994 film, "Muriel's Wedding." Proving her amazing ability to transform into the characters in which she plays, Toni Collette has since starred in a variety of intriguingly diverse roles. Most recently, Toni Collette starred in the Alan Ball ensemble "Towelhead," alongside Aaron Eckhart. In 2007, Toni Collette starred in "Evening," co-starring Vanessa Redgrave. Jackson; "The Sixth Sense," for which she earned an Oscar nomination; and the mystery/thriller "The Dead Girl" with Josh Brolin. Toni Collette received some of the best reviews of her career for the film "Japanese Story," for which she garnered extraordinary critical acclaim, receiving an Australian Academy Award as well as the 2003 AFI Award for Best Lead Actress in a Lead Role. In 2002, Toni Collette appeared in four films including "Changing Lanes," opposite Samuel L. Jackson; "Dirty Deeds;" opposite Hugh Grant in "About a Boy," and the critically acclaimed film "The Hours," co-starring Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore. Other titles include "The Boys," "Velvet Goldmine;" "Emma" alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and more recently, "The Black Balloon" and the animated film "Mary and Max." Toni Collette has had the opportunity to demonstrate her talents on Broadway's stage. In 2000, Toni Collette starred in the highly anticipated revival of "The Wild Party," alongside Mandy Patinkin and Eartha Kitt. Toni Collette resides in Australia.
