Tony Oller stars in "Gigantic" on TeenNick as Walt Moore.
Tony Oller discovered a love of performing at age 9 when he was cast in a Houston community theater production of "Grease." He has since progressed to television, independent films, national commercials and Equity theater in Houston and Los Angeles. Although he stumbled into the entertainment business, it quickly became his passion. Tony and his parents learned how incredibly difficult it can be to pursue an entertainment career from outside of Los Angeles but he decided to live by the motto "Always dream. Never give up."
Tony got his big break with a lead role in the Disney Channel comedy short series "As The Bell Rings" as Danny from 2007-2009. In Season 1, he starred opposite Demi Lovato as his crush. Season 2 featured three original Disney-produced songs recorded by Tony Oller. All three songs are part of music videos featuring Tony and including the whole cast of "As The Bell Rings."
Equal to acting is his love of music. Tony has sung on several television shows. His television debut was at age 11 when he was a guest singer on "It's Showtime at The Apollo." He was a winner of The Apollo's National Kid's Talent Search contest and thus won a trip to New York to perform at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem where he was deemed an Apollo "Star of Tomorrow." At age 12, he earned another wonderful opportunity: to compete as a Junior Singer on "Star Search" in Hollywood where his live performance was watched by 12 million television viewers and received rave reviews by the judges. He also equally enjoyed being an invited guest singer on "The Jenny Jones Show" Christmas special in Chicago.
Tony has been a vocal student for 8 years. Besides singing, Tony also takes piano and guitar lessons and enjoys playing his drums and his saxophone (tenor and alto). He was a member of his school concert band for four years and was in marching band in his freshman year.
His dance training includes hip-hop and tap dancing with some ballet in his early youth. As a young teen, he was a proud member of Planet Funk's Slam Squad hip hop dance troupe in Houston and has taken master classes in hip-hop dance from Wade Robson and Shane Sparks in Los Angeles. He trained at Planet Funk with Jason Anderson.
He enjoys playing baseball and working out.
