Tracy McDowell from "The Next Big Thing: NY" stars in the Oxygen reality docu-series.

Tracy McDowell moved to New York City from California's Bay Area at age 17 to study theater at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Since then, she has appeared in the closing cast of "Rent" on Broadway and on the live DVD recording. She has also been seen in "Godspell," "Hair" and countless new musicals which are still in development. She also performs in concerts all over the city and has even sung for the United Nations Division for Woman.

Tracy took her love of theater abroad during a recent trip to South Africa, where she participated in theater-focused outreach. Tracy owes her success to her giant family, crazy friends, buns and kittens.
