In "Transformers," the Earth is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between two races of robots, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. The robots are able to transform themselves into an assortment of objects, including cars, trucks, planes, and other technological creations.
"Transformers" is directed by Michael Bay ("Bad Boys 2", "Pearl Harbor") from a screenplay by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman ("Mission Impossible 3," "Alias"). Steven Spielberg ("War of the Worlds," "Minority Report") is executive producing "Transformers" with Lorenzo di Bonaventura ("Shooter," "Constantine") and Tom DeSanto ("X-Men," "X-Men 2") serving as co-producers.
Dreamworks is the domestic distributor for "Transformers," while Paramount Pictures handles foreign.
