Troy Gentile stars in "The Goldbergs" on ABC as Barry.

Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Troy Gentile broke into acting shortly after he moved to Los Angeles. Clearly, fate and Hollywood had plans for him. He booked his first job on his first audition on his second day of representation by landing the role of wheelchair-bound Matthew Hooper in Paramount Pictures' remake of "Bad News Bears" with Billy Bob Thornton. For his work, Gentile and 13 of his fellow cast members won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast.

Since his first big break in 2005, Gentile has demonstrated an innate comedic brilliance, perfectly capturing a young Jack Black twice: first in Paramount's "Nacho Libre," then in the New Line release, "Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny." For the former film, Gentile was nominated for his second Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Supporting Young Actor.

Gentile was nominated for another Young Artist Award Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast, along with Nate Hartley and David Dorfman, for "Drillbit Taylor" in 2009. Gentile has also been seen in the comedies "Good Luck Chuck," starring Dane Cook, and "Hotel for Dogs," starring Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin, as well as the direct-to-video "I Could Never Be Your Woman," starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd.

Showcasing his uncanny ability to imagine and enliven the young spirit of well-known personalities, Gentile embodied a young Craig Ferguson with hilarious precision on "The Late Late Show." Gentile has also been seen in episodes of TNT's "Hawthorne," HBO's "Entourage" and Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody." In addition, he was cast alongside Steve Weber in NBC's pilot for "Zip" in 2007.
