Blake Lewis auditioned in Seattle where he informed the judges that he was a beatbox champion. Upon Randy Jackson's request, Blake Lewis beatboxed for them before singing Seal's "Crazy." Despite Randy Jackson thinking that the beatboxing was better than the singing, he, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell all voted to give Blake Lewis a golden ticket to Hollywood. Fans of Blake Lewis refer to themselves as Blaker Girls.
Blake Lewis is 25 years old. Blake Lewis began "beat boxing" in his senior year of high school. Blake Lewis was also a member of a youth choir group that traveled to Europe. Blake Lewis belonged to an a capella goup called "Kickshaw" for five years until 2003. Blake Lewis lives in Bothell, Washington.
