Chris Sligh made it into the top 12 finalists on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol." Chris Sligh auditioned for the third time this year in Memphis, singing an original song called "Leave the Light On," Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble," and Seal's "Kiss from a Rose."
Chris Sligh is 28 years old. Chris Sligh is the son of missionaries and, when he was growing up, he wasn't allowed to listen to any rock-and-roll music. Chris Sligh spent ten years with his family in Germany.
Since attending Bob Jones University, Chris Sligh has traveled and been the lead singer of an indie band called "Half Past Forever." Chris Sligh also plays the guitar. In addition, Chris Sligh is the music director of Seacoast Church in Greenville, Carolina. For his day job, Chris Sligh is a marketing executive at a leasing firm. Chris Sligh has been married for three years to his wife, Sarah Sligh.
