Melinda Doolittle auditioned in Memphis where she sang Stevie Wonder's "For Once In My Life." Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson all unanimously agreed to put Melinda Doolittle through to the next round.
Melinda Doolittle is 28 years old. Melinda Doolittle has been a professional backup singer on stage and in the studio for a number of years. Melinda Doolittle works with professional vocal coach Janet Kenyon who has worked with such famous singers as Josh Turner and Taylor Swift. Melinda Doolittle is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville and has a bachelor's degree in Commercial Music. Melinda Doolittle lives in Brentwood, Tennessee.
