Philip "Phil" Stacey has made it into the top 12 finalists on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol." Phil Stacey auditioned in Memphis on the same day that his second baby was born. Phil Stacey joked that he had chosen to sing Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," because it's the last thing that his wife would want to hear. Phil Stacey though decided to sing "My Girl" by The Temptations. After Phil Stacey sang a second song, Simon Cowell gave him the thumbs down because "You can't start your songs well." Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson though put Phil Stacey through to Hollywood.
Phil Stacey is 29 years old. Phil Stacey sings for the U.S. Navy and graduated from Lee University in 2002 with a degree in vocal performance. Phil Stacey currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida but grew up in Cincinnati.
