Urijah Faber is an MMA fighter in the UFC who is one of the coaches in Season 15 of the FX mixed martial arts competition series, "The Ultimate Fighter Live."

Urijah Faber is the former WEC World Featherweight champion (145 pounds) now fighting as a Bantamweight (135 pounds) in his quest for the UFC title. He is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and holds notable wins over Jens Pulver (twice), Ivan Menjivar, former WEC champ Eddie Wineland, Jeff Curran and Takeya Mizugaki. Faber is the only fighter to defeat current UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz, back in a 2007 matchup.

Faber has always had a passion for fighting. He started wrestling in the 8th grade and has never stopped. While in college, he was a standout on the Division I wrestling team and was also a coach. He began fighting professionally shortly after graduating with a B.S. degree from the University of California, Davis.

Faber is renowned for a cutting edge approach to conditioning and fitness. He abides by a strict and super-healthy diet, exclusively eating organic foods with the freshest and purest ingredients.

He is considered a pioneer who, along with guys like Miguel Torres and Jens Pulver, put the lighter weights on the map. Faber likes inventing his own techniques.

Faber is the owner of the "FORM" brand of MMA lifestyle apparel, which also sponsors the likes of UFC light heavyweight champ Jon "Bones" Jones and lightweight contender Anthony Pettis, among others.
