Fans have watched the eldest child in "Run's House" pursue her dreams of acting over recent seasons of the hit MTV series. Vanessa Simmons' bi-coastal lifestyle while playing as Lola on the soap opera "A Guiding Light" in California while launching the Pastry shoe line with her sister Angela out of the Simmons home in New Jersey proved to be stressful, but rewarding the always-on-the-run member of the family.

Now Vanessa Simmons has made her move to Los Angeles permanent as to seriously pursue a career in acting and let's just say that things aren't going too badly. Vanessa Simmons roles in two upcoming films, including "Boogie Town," in a cast that also includes Marques Houston.

But that's not all. Vanessa Simmons has never been satisfied staying put and doing just one thing. So, when Vanessa Simmons is not hard at work developing her acting career, looking for romance, or mentoring Girl Scouts of the USA with Angela, she's working even harder on Pastry.

Plus, as the big sister of the close Simmons family, it's Vanessa Simmons that Angela turns to in times of need. Vanessa Simmons has recently helped her little sister through an emotional breakup and is determined to help Angela find her way. And as before, Reverend Run plays a major part in his Vanessa's life, but his oldest daughter is learning to make the tough decisions on her own.
